In collaboration with the Portuguese studio Opalola, I contributed to a large-scale visual installation created for the automotive brand Rivian at Coachella Festival.
My role focused on the development of simulation systems and visual direction of the particle-based environments, ensuring both technical precision and a cohesive visual experience across all scenes.
The project featured an immersive projection inside a custom-built tent, designed to transport visitors through a series of abstract, nature-inspired environments. Developed in Houdini, the visuals were driven by advanced particle simulations, creating dynamic and evolving landscapes.
Four distinct scenes were crafted to reflect different natural elements — canyon, desert, river, and forest — each interpreted through a stylised, atmospheric approach. The goal was to evoke the essence of these environments rather than represent them literally, aligning with Rivian’s connection to exploration and the outdoors.
